Chili crisp (sometimes labeled chile crisp or chili crunch) is a condiment made with oil, crunchy fried chiles, garlic, and aromatics. It adds heat, texture, and umami to dishes.
Recommended Brands
My favorite is Xi’an Famous Foods Chili Oil & Crisps, which has great flavor and texture with a nice balance of heat and crunch.
Another option is Momofuku Chili Crunch, which offers a different flavor profile.
Tips
Chili crisp works well in many applications:
